Today’s workforce is under increasing financial strain—and the data proves it. In our 2024 Wages & Wellbeing Study, nearly half (49%) of working Americans report being short on money before payday, while 54% worry several times a week or more about making their pay last. The consequences are real: 39% have skipped meals to save money, and 62% say they’ve felt financially overwhelmed after turning to high-interest borrowing.

For employers, the opportunity is just as compelling. The report reveals that 86% of workers would be more interested in applying to a job that offers same-day pay, and 74% would stay longer with an employer who provides it. Even more striking, 85% say they would remain in their role longer if they had free, immediate access to earned wages.
